Black Friday Traditions

Who can believe that Thanksgiving is already next week!  With the holiday season in full swing I thought I would post about a few of the Black Friday traditions that we share in our household.  I think that Thanksgiving is such a good kickoff to start some fun and festive traditions with your family.  Here are a few things that we looking forward to this year!

1.  Festive Pajamas-  We are huge fans of festive pjs over here!  I LOVE that these ones incorporate a book.  We tend to have Jordan (and now Lukie) open this gift on Black Friday as a fun way to start off the season!

2.  Christmas movies-  I'll admit that we've already watched a few (ok, maybe more...) but they are SO addicting.  Jordan's current faves are: How The Grinch Stole Christmas (both Jim Carrey & old school version), Arthur Christmas (have you all seen how cute this movie is!?), MaryKate & Ashley's "To Grandmother's House We Go" (total classic) and also The Polar Express.  The ones I can't wait for are: The Holiday (I usually watch this with gfs because..chick flick), Little Women (the 90's version), National Lampoons Christmas (with this mug) and Elf!!

3.  Elf on the Shelf-  We cannot WAIT for the return of Minty! (so creatively named by my then two year old).  Although last year we touched her and apparently you can't touch the Elf on the Shelf...so, we will try and do better with that.  I think this year Jordy will LOVE the hi-jinks Minty will get into.  I'm envisioning having tons of fun incorporating Minty with her new fairy door.

Our Black Friday morning always starts out with a festive breakfast and then out for some shopping!  I love downtown Seattle this time of year, the lights and hustle and bustle is addicting.

What are YOUR Black Friday plans?!  Have a wonderful Monday!

Xoxo,
Jaimee Lynne
